Inlandappl,

I signed up for e-cas after we sent our application and I have not received an e-mail from them yet. Forget e-cas. I also did not call the call centre.

My husband has his visitor extension thing and I used the client id number from that. I didn't even know that the client id number on that extension is the same client id number that is used for permanent residency. I found out from Love Young on the Inland 2010 thread. I entered my husbands client id number on the cic website where it says check my application status for the first time today just for fun and BAM, I see that it is in process. This was me Shocked

We received your application for permanent residence on March 31, 2011.

We started processing your application on April 19, 2011.

I was stoked.

Woooooo !! Your the best I tired with my wifes client id number and WOOO it came up! So they received our application march 14th and it is in progress april 8th!! So excited to see this! Yay i can be updated on the list now!!!

Hi Canadagirl85,

I feel the same way. When I found this message board it gave me a little comfort in knowing that there are others out there that are in the same boat as us.
Plus, I like coming on here and seeing people actually get AIP and PR. It doesn't seem as unrealistic as it does in the early stages for us.

I am still waiting to hear fleo, sesamerush and dorina to see if anyone's files are in process yet? Where are you guys? LOL.

Any other inlanders want to join our 2011 thread?

Yes! with the 9-10 month wait it seems so far away but its nice to know im not alone! I get so excited when I see a new person posting! Our little group is growing wooo!! Where is everyone from? Im from Toronto!!!:D

It' s probably going to go faster now, no more 9-10 months to get AIP. don't want to give you false hopes but that is what it seems....Congratulations!

Holy Sweetness! I haven't been able to log in as often because of work, etc. but when I saw angtao's tip I had to try it out... I looked up my application status with my client ID number and voila!
It has been in process since March 8th. Mine took about a month and a week; I guess they started to open packages faster starting March lol.
Praying to God that it goes smoothly. I have a lurking feeling I messed something up though hmmmm time will tell. At least I haven't gotten any phone calls for missing documents or wrong payments yet.
I have a coworker that also applied for PR and she's been getting all these phone calls because she didn't fill out the forms properly and she didn't pay enough  Shocked

Copy of a new passport, my current one is expiring in July. I don't think it would slow down the process unless you decide to shower them with a 100 new pages to read through Wink

My passport is actually expiring in July as well. I've been putting it off because I don't want to end up having to get another new one after I get my PR (which is hopefully within 2011?)
Also the process of getting a new passport for me would be brutal since they switched over to electronic a while ago, and I need all of these papers sent over from overseas.
I am so through with paperwork!! Urgh! Anyway, after much hand wringing and hair pullling I called CIC when I was filling out the PR app and asked them if it mattered if my passport only had 6 months left, and whether or not I needed a specific length left to be eligible to apply, etc. but the lady said it was fine.

There is a chance she didn't understand my question properly, though... and I do babble. Should I get a new passport and send the new info in as well?  Huh
Better safe than sorry, right?  Sad

fleo, dorina, missha, jadarius, have your files started processing yet?

Any inlanders want to join our thread? April is almost over and we do not have anyone from this month on our chart!

I have not sent out my visa extension along with the application but the work permit application. I still have time for my visa to expire. Should I go ahead and apply for visa extension too?

Hi missha, I do not know the answer to your question. Are you the sponsor or the applicant? What country is the applicant from? What is the visa extension for? Do you mean visitors extension?

BTW, is your file in process yet?

Missha,

Have you ever extended your visitor status yet or will this be your first time?
