WOW OH WOW! angtao that is just wonderful news. I hope that Vegreville keeps moving faster all the time.
It isn't fair we have to wait a long time just because we're with our family. I wish all of you a ton of luck.

Ohh, I thought e-cas was the website that matthew created. What is that called and how come I did not receive an e-mail from Matt's website?

Also, someone was telling me not to follow the timelines on the CIC website because they are not accurate. But from the looks of it I think it is very accurate as we keep seeing people that applied in June 2010 getting AIP.

Oh well, this feels like such a game sometimes.

No matthewc created e-Cas tracker site. e-Cas was developed CIC.
Maybe you should check to make sure the information you input when you first signed up is right.
If you are having trouble, I would email him. He responds fairly quickly and is very helpful.

And no, the CIC sites timeline is not very accurate at all. It is only an estimate. That is why the chart is more effective.
They are usually always processing anywhere from 4-12 days ahead of what the actual date listed is. I think the only reason we haven't had any updates this week yet is because people are out for Easter. Hopefully we hear something in the next few days.

I'm sure if you subscribed again to the ecas tracker this time giving your client id number you would receive an email from the tracker because it would work. probably you had put the fees receipt number and many people reported that with the receipt number the e cas doesn't work

Inlandappl,

I just signed up for e-cas (matthew's website) using our client id number. I guess I will not sign in to CIC anymore to keep looking at my file. I am still shocked to see that our file is in process. Now, if my other inlanders check there's (besides Gemauru, thank you), then we can see more news.

If you dont mind, could you send me his email?
I sent him a couple of  emails through the "ecas tracker" and he never responded.
I made a mistake when I enrolled and need him to remove my name and re do it.

Thank you

Hey Everyone!

I'm so excited to have stumbled on this forum.  I just proposed to my fiance a couple weeks ago, and am getting ready for his journey to Canada (from all the stories, it appears the application is walked from Vancouver to St. Johns and back again).

Just been gathering the paperwork to send in the application.  I was wondering about travelling during the process.  He's from Brazil and here on a student visa now and I want to go down to meet the in-laws.

Should we get all the travelling done before the process (CIC doesn't know were together yet), or will they allow him re-entry on his student visa WITH a pending sponsorship application?  I've heard stories that they don't believe he'll leave when he returns to the country with a pending sponsorship application and will deny him entry.

Thanks everyone.  It looks like it's going to be a fun 18 months!

Gemauru,

His website is

https://ecas.carroll.org.uk/

Kamiro, I am not sure about the answers to your questions. I would probably call CIC or start your own thread. Sorry I couldn't be much help.

Best Of Luck

He he, no worries. I was going to call them tomorrow after they're back from holidays.  After the application is completed, my theory is that it's going to weigh about 0.5 kg or so...  Should be a wonderfully dry read for the CIC :-)
