I probably should have told you all that I was going on vacation with hubby. Anyway we are back. I have updated the chart with the new members.

Hi

I wanted to join to see how everyone was getting along, and have an idea of how long I can expect to wait. My application was received June 2 and they started processing June 13th. I got a letter on July 11th asking for an update on an address from July 2001 to June 2002 which I sent back in on July 13th.

When I login it says my application is 'in process'.

I am currently here on a student visa, doing a PhD, and my student visa expires in Sep 2012. I also have a temporary work permit which also expires Sep 2012 (it's tied to my student visa)

I am hoping my application is relatively straightforward - I am a Brit, have graduate degrees, my spouse has a good salary and stable job, and neither of us has dependents/ criminal record/ married before etc....

I am a wee bit concerned that the PR application won't be done by the time my current visa runs out in Sep 2012, but from what I've seeen from those who started in 2010 it can, best case, take 11 months....so hopefully I will be ok....

If anyone has any thoughts/ advice/ wisdom that would be much appreciated, otherwise I look forward to waiting patiently with you all

Welcome scottish lass. You are probably going to hear from CIC about AIP around April of 2012. I think you will be ok.

Wow, our group is getting bigger. Love Young said it would get bigger and she was right. People are still joining the 2010 Inlanders thread too.

Funny how we have no one from April in here. LOL

Very busy everywhere (home, work) now on vacation but with my daughter wedding coming next week going crazy.
No news at all... only my hubby visitors visa expired for the second time, we apply for the extension and still waiting for the reply...

Be back in 2 weeks, unless I get something interesting before.

Finally I have sent my inland application. To tell u little abt me, I am in Canada with my Canadian wife. I applied before as Outland and got rejected coz I did not attend the interview coz my Uk visa was expired and I could not go back.

Now I have applied for inland and also for visitor extension.

Can someone tell me how long it takes to get the visitor permit?

And please add me in the log list.

Also, I am not surre how long it takes to extend the visitor visa. You will have to check on the CIC website.

Hi thanks for reply. I have applied through the Immigration Consultant. She has sent it yesterday i believe it will be special delivery.  I have the payment reference which i will be able to use in order to check the online ECAS  once they started processing...

Is there anyone else know the time for visitor extension?

Also for my last case (Outland) rejection , i have got my CAIPS notes which tells me why they have rejected my case. Everything seems fine and the only reason is that i did not go to the interview to UK which i told them that i dont have visa for UK to  go back. Even before decision i applied for Withdrawal but the case worker did not accept my request of withdrawal which legally he should have.

Anyway please add me in your list as applied on 18th August 2011 and then i will update you further.

I got an email from CIC required me to update some missing information in the applicant form such as: current address, current work, current organization....
I have sent them all (for sure now they have received): updated history form (education + work + address), my birth certificate and my marriage license which I missed including in the original application. Regarding about the police clearance, I have already had it done from the country of my original but I was wondering whether I should send it to CIC or not as I know many people were required to provide it just once their first stage approved...do you think it would be fine to wait until they ask or should I go ahead to send?
