GOOD LUCK ALL 2011 APPLICANTS!!!

Seems like things are going really fast now, which is great. Not too much longer until they start the 2011 applicants. Keep your spirits high and if you ever need a talk, I will be here or try really really hard to be. Try to be as productive as possible during the wait and plan on the things you need to do after approval so it eases your mind even more after the approval to know the next things to get done. And appreciate every little moment with your loved ones. All the days do seem long but it is all worth it and one day the weight of the world will be lifted off. It will be the most amazing feeling ever. Soon...it will be you that feels that. Don't give up and know that true love will always prevail. Trust in that and yourselves. Good luck!!!  Kiss

Thank you LY, happy that you finally got your AIP, and hopefully more good news real soon Cool

Finally able to log-in to ecas now and it says processing started May 18, 2011 indeed!  But i have do have a concern, my middle name is not fully reflected in the site, it just states the first 2 letters (4 letters supposed to be), should i be concerned over that?

just for a peace of mind, next time you call the call centre ask the agent to tell you if it is spelt well on their file, thats the one it counts, i wouldn't worry too much

I definitely agree with Inlandappl. Consider calling the CIC call centre to be reassured of how your name is spelt on file. Are your first and last names long? If so, maybe e-Cas has a limited space for letters. Just something to consider. As long as it isn't messed up on your actual file and in their computer, you should have nothing to worry about. Congrats on signing into e-Cas and for your application starting to process.

Thanks for the advice, i will try my best to call CIC later today.  My last name is short, and my first name is around 12 letters, i just noticed that my street address was not correctly spelled, 1 letter missing Sad

Yeah I would definitely call today then to correct the mistakes. Let us know how it goes.
By the way here is a link to a website that tells you how long the call centre is open in your area and how to skip to an agent.
I figured you might find it handy. I would try calling today since "Victoria Day" will be on Monday. Good luck.

It's probably busy because of the long weekend coming up. People want to get there things done today as everything is closed on Monday. Keep trying though.

By experience you need to call at least 3 times in a row to be able to get the line and be on hold 15 minutes before you talk to an agent. first couple of times you will be told to try later, the third time you will usually get the line and be told to wait for 10-15 or 20 minutes. the maximum i ever waited was 25 minutes. they say the busiest days are monday to thursday but i have waited the same amount of time every day of the week
