...Hi TU.... these are my updates:
This past Monday, we called CIC to asked them for an update and they received our QSC and Medical exam.  We asked them how long should it take to received the decision made letter, she replied, as if she was reading, "the waiting time for Decision Made is 11 to 12 months"... our ECAS (hubby and mine) do not show anything other than the "in process".... I want for my birthday (in 2 weeks) 2 brown envelopes, one for me and the other for hubby... if not.. then since Im being good this year, I want Santa to bring me those 2 envelopes in the event that CIC is not ready for my birthday :-)

I had a talk with CIC yesterday. When I told a representative my dates she calculated time quickly and gave April next year. Haha... Once I wanted to know if I have a job offer on hand will it be a reason to speed a process getting OWP. They said that I have to apply for a work permit separately and go to Buffalo... despite in I can't leave Canada. Grin

The same situation with eCas... "in process".

I hope CIC will make this present for you and Santa will look after us. Wink

Welcome to the waiting game Deutschbug!

Is Nov 28 the date your app was received by CIC?

Hello all,

I am new in this thread. I sent my application on Nov 17, 2011 and the package was received by CIC on Nov 22, 2011.

My wife (the sponsor) has a client ID # (the number on her PR card), will I be able to use her number to check the status of my application?
If not, how soon will I have my own file #?

Thanks all!

Hey everybody.

I talked yesterday to an Immigration Specialist and what he said was:

 - During the winter we should wait for a fast processing time, it was the same last year (increased during summer and outumn).
 - Immigration Canada is already in the process of hiring more people since the "Conditional Permanent Residence" should pass as a new rule for 2012 applications.

He doesnt have an aanswer for the fact people who applied in July and already have their AIP. What he thinks is that those people are already working here, what would make the process easier to analyse (Huh) or they are like a "sample" for the efficience of the new form...

Is he right? Is he wrong? Have no clue. I just wanted to share.

Cheers

Hi everyone

I haven't posted for a while, but check in to see how everyone's doing. Congrats to the people who applied in July and who got their AIPs already - awesome news and I kindof wish I'd applied a month later  Smiley

I wanted to ask a question about the ECAS system please. When I log in it says application received June 2nd and processing June 13th.

It says nothing else at all. I did receive a letter from them on July 11th asking for a small piece of additional information (an address for where I lived for 2 months 9 years ago). I completed the form and returned it to them within a week (got confirmation it was received from Canada Post).

I also sent in my medical check in February 2011 (so 3 months prior to my actual application)

There is nothing in the ECAS system regarding either  my medical check or that they recieved the additional information I provided. I have noted that others on this forum do see updates about these things in the ECAS system. Is this normal or should I be concerned?

I tried to call the IO office but they weren't particularly helpful....in fact he sounded very crabby indeed! And basically told me to be patient....which I can be, but I would just hate for anything to be missing which would ultimately slow down the process....

Hello Scottish... do not stress about it, my hubby and I got the same, we sent the additional requested information, and medical were done the same week the application was sent..  we do know that the medical exams are in because the phone agent (I dont know what are their titles) told my husband... this is to confirm to you that when looking at ECAS it only shows dates for reception of the applications, date for the "in process" and nothing else.. no sign of the requested documentation or nothing that says that CIC received my hubby's medical... HOWEVER... keep calling... that's what I've been told to do... hope this makes you feel ok ;-)

thanks for the info re ECAS - that does help me feel better....I will also keep calling. The guy I spoke to today must have been particularly unhelpful as he told me he couldn't check re my medical.....

sigh, I will just keep waiting, but I do appreciate hearing others' have experienced the same.

Hello!! Today I called CIC to ask about my medical results, the agent told me they have received it and also my CSQ, but she didn't give me the date. But at least i know they have them  Smiley !!!!! About my polices certificates that I sent in September, they haven't received them yet, they are opening the documents received on July to add to the file of Sponsorship, so she told me that documents received on september must be opened in two months!!!!!

Hello Scottish, when did you send your medical exam?? Because I called today too, and the girl who answered me told me something similar... that they haven't received my medical results yet,,, so I got worried!!!... but after that, she took her time to look for it... and after almost 10 minutes of waiting she finally said me that they got it.. but she didn't give me a date.. but at least now I know they have it So maybe you should try with another agent... this is not the first time I have listened that some agents aren't very helpful so keep trying!! Good luck

This is the address for additional info, be careful at postal code since it's the only part different from the address you sent your PR application.
CPC Vegreville
6212-55th Avenue
Vegreville, AB
T9C 1W5

I also found these notes around, hope it helps

Quote
Write with a big marker (so in big letters) on the back of the envelope: "PLEASE ADD TO FILE ASAP". Make sure on the cover letter you mention your name, your sponsor's name and both your client ID numbers. Then everything will be fine.

I did it this way and my information was added to my file (visibly on eCas) a week after reception. Normally it takes 2 months.

Quote
1. Send by registered mail
2. If you have an IO, put Attention: IO name
3. Put a note to link to your file, and your file number (assuming envelope is enclosed in a mailing envelope)
4. Enclose a letter indicating your file number, name, other important info, comment to link to your file

Hi angtao,

i sent additional info to vegreville (regarding also a purchase of property together)  almost 4 months after having sent the original application

I put client id number
our names with date of births
a letter accompanying the additional info

and i sent all to a special address that is

CPC Vegreville(general correspondence)
6212-55th Avenue
Vegreville, AB
T9C 1W5

be careful not to send it to the address where you sent the original application (it differs only for a number int he postal code) otherwise your letter will finish in a pile and opened god knows when....

my info was matched and attached to the original application in only 3 weeks time but other applicants have reported longer waits
