hi I am just new here and I have a lot of questions about this In Land spousal sponsorship and I know I am not the only one in this situation. I just arrived here in Canada and I'm under a work permit visa and my husband was a Canadian Permanent Resident already. I indicate on my application that I was married with my husbands name on it and that he was living here in Canada and I also include the name of my daughter of course.

Now my husbands trying to sponsor me In Land but He also wanted to include my daughter on the application form but she is still in the Philippines. Is it possible to do that? How? and how long will it take us to get approved by Canadian Immigration?

It will mean so much to me if you answer my question just to clear my mind. He's not yet sending the application I just want to be sure first if it is possible before we send it to Canadian Immigration. Thank you!

Hi Madam,

As your husband is a Canadian PR he can sponsor his dependent child as per rules. For that purpose he should remain in Canada to submit the sponsorship application to CPC Mississauga and later the PR application outside Canada. Therefore he must return and stay in Canada.

No - it's not possible. He can never sponsor you. See your other thread.

You can apply for TRV for her, but it will likely be rejected as immigration will suspect she won't leave.

Since your husband did not declare you or your daughter on his PR application or when he landed, he will NEVER be able to sponsor you.

I am quite surprised you would leave your daughter behind in the first place.

what is TVR? I left my daughter to give her a great future. To work and give her everything. I came from a country that is so difficult to live and raise a family. Thats why I came here followed my husband so that we can get her and be together again. and the reason why Im struggling now to seek for help just to get her and bring her here.

As we've mentioned in the other thread, your husband will not be able to sponsor you or your daughter EVER.

If you are here on a work visa, then your only chance would be to find a good, corporate job where your employer would consider sponsoring you for PR. You can then list your daughter as a dependant and bring her over.

However, you may run into a problem when you will have to list your daughter's biological father. CIC will see that he is already in Canada and as he didn't disclose this information on his application, his PR will most likely be revoked.

Tread carefully! I would suggest consult an immigration lawyer.

1.When your husband applied for his PR, were you his wife at that time?
If yes, then did he mention you and your daughter's name in his application and you did the medical?
If yes, then he can sponsor both of you.
2. If you got married after your husband became PR, then also your husband can sponsor both of you.
