If you are a woker you have to apply as a chef or cook, this is not at all related to information technology...

I don;t know if you are already eligible to apply for an off campus work permit. Just read on and search. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/work-offcampus-who.asp

You can change your temporary resident status from student to worker. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/special-tech.asphttp://www.borderconnections.com/hrsdc.htmlBTW, what language are you using in your software development?

Oh, your subject says "Woker" so I thought you were a cook, but now I see: you meant "Worker." Sorry for the mistake.

Hi, Leon, PMM, Rupesshari etc. would be in better positions to give you the advice here. If it were I, I would be changing my permit from student to worker in Canada through CPC-V http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/5553E.PDFhttp://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1249E.PDFthen correct your temporary resident status (visa) from student to worker once you have the valid work permit. Application is through a visa office outside of Canada. And you can also call CIC toll free number in case you have doubts. Talk to a "live" agent =)) (don't know how they are called). Call early so that the lines are not too busy. All the best.
