information help on sponsering a familly freind

Hi, i am a Canadian citizen, i would like to sponsor a friend that is currently over seas, so she can come and visit Canada, the problem is that she does not have a bank account, he father  or I will pay for her vist,

is that possible, does she need to open a bank account and prove that she has money for the past 6 month?!! can it be done otherwise?

now my real concern is, if she opens a new bank account and her dad puts money in there, will that work?! i thought they needed proof for the last six month.?!!
