Dear All,

Does anybody know if there is a sort of a general Information Call Center/Bureau (nationwide or province-wide) for phone numbers, addresses, services, etc of particular companies/institutions/individuals requested by a caller?  a center which upon a call would release this sort of information?

Thanks in advance.

No, not CIC.
Just an Information Bureau, like, for example, if i need a taxi service and i don't know which number i should call to get a taxi at my house, is there any information centralized bureau which i would call and they would give me a phone number for taxi company?

I guess you mean like the old 411 information system or calling the operator at 0? I don't even know if those still exist. I suggest picking up a telephone directory from the local phone company, or do what I do when I need info like that. Google it "Taxi, Mississauga" for example and go from there.

Smiley Well, i agree Google is great, just sometimes it's much handier just to dial and get the answer u need rather than surfing on net.

Try 411.  I also found this one by google:  1 877 909-YELO (9356)  Those are the yellow pages.  Personally, I just google everything.
