Information about Sault Ste Marie

Hello all,

I have a potential employment opportunity at Sault Ste Marie and would like to know some information about the place. How is the Social life there? Is there an active Indian/South Asian community, temples, restaurants etc. Any such information will be extremely helpful.

Hi Cooldude939,

My company have our head office in sue. I visited 2 too 4 times it is way up north and very close to usa border. I think you can just cross the bridge to get in to usa. Lots of Italian people and am not sure about the south asian community and I dont think they have indian restaurants  and no temples for sure. I know they have indian restaurants in their gas stations called indian restaurants but really they are canadian based indian restaurant so you wont be able to get really good indian food. As far as I know Italy people are super friendly and same like our culture(i.e. same like our family bonding).....

If you want to go to toronto it is 8 hour drive, that is where you can get temple and good restaurant or else ottawa I belive it is 8 hour too.

Hope this give you an idea.....

I went Sault St.Marry last summer.Its a beautifull small city but it is also most expensive city in Ontario.Everything is more expensive than in Toronto-gas,food,hotels....I dont know why but that is truth.
