thanks for the reply. Detroit is near to my place compare to Buffalo. Which office process the application quickly?. My US visa is about to expire in a month, applied for extension, is it better to apply for study permit in India?
any suggestions to prove that my intention is to come back to US immidiately after study?
approximately how much bank balance need to show(in US dollars)?

1.  Buffalo shows 11 weeks, Detroit 6 weeks for complete application.
2.  You need an acceptance letter from a Canadian school see: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/detroit/visas/study-etude.aspx?lang=eng&view=d
3.  If you apply to Detroit/Buffalo and you leave the US before the study permit is issued, how are you going to get your passport back and forth from the US.  It is illegal to mail passports in/out of India, and Canadian offices in the US won't mail passport outside their processing area.

My US visa extension process will take minimum 2 months, so I can stay in US for atleast 2 more months.
I'm expecting that , If I apply for study permit in Detroit office it will be done in in 6 weeks. If at all in worst case my US visa didnot extended and I need to leave US after applying for study permit , in that case can I request my passport from Detroit office( in person explaining everything).

couple of other doubts:
1. Do I need to submit police statement from both countries US and India?
2. My total expendeture for 2 yrs would be x $, I have total bank balance of x/2 $, shares in indian bank account of amount 2x $ . Does this will be enough?( because I don't have enough time to apply for loan)
