the immigration government website is extremely confusing. First they say that you can apply with Kit 1 without any financial requirements ( ) and then they say that there are some financial requirements. Sine I am a student, I can't actually show the required income ( although I can cover up our cost of living for a year until he gets a working permit ), but will that be enough? I was thinking to include in my applications a proof of my parents income for 2011 and a letter saying that worst case scenario we'll be living with them and they will support us. Has anyone gone through this already ?

Could you inform us who you are sponsoring.
For spousal sponsorship, there is no minimun income.

It will be a spousal sponsorship, but from what I read in Quebec it's different than the rest of Canada and they require a minimum income ... its very unclear on their website ...
