Good day! I would just like to get comments on this: Hope somebody can give me info...

My friend has already filed for new work permit at CPC-Veg.  Before, he used to call the Canada's call center and press in his Client ID and he would hear the status of his previous application for work permit extension whether when received by CPC-Veg and when it was approved.

Now that he has already filed the new work permit application last September 28, 2011, he's expecting to hear a new recorded message as to when CPC received the new WP application and its status.  However, two weeks had passed and the same previous work permit information is being provided.  Does that mean that CPC-V has not received yet the WP application which was sent about two weeks already? The WP application was sent thru Courier Service.  What if his existing WP expires October 5? What would be considered, the date he sent the application through courier and with proof of mailing, or the date it was received by CPC-Vegreville?

Thank you... my friend finds it hard to have internet connection and since I have told him about this site, he asked a favor to ask this concern.. Hope someboy could be of help please...

Thank you very much...

Hi Regdor,

Maybe CIC just forgot to update their system.   Smiley

Your friend can call CIC and talk to an agent directly bypassing the "enter your Client ID portion" or he can go back to his courier and ask them.  Im sure your friend sent it with tracking numbers.

CIC will look at the date on when the application was sent.  One must have an official receipt to have proof.

Good luck  Smiley

 @ plussy

thank you so much.  my friend was so worried because his WP has expired last Oct5, and if date considered is the receipt by CPC, then he could have been out of status and should apply restoration.  Thanks that the reference date is the date when it is mailed.  God bless...

Hello, my friend called 1-888-242-2100 again to check on the recorded message of the following details by just pressing his Client ID Number and year of birth:

1.  Date when the CPC-Vegreville received the mailed application.
2.  Status of the Application

He applied for New Work Permit three (3) weeks ago and the computerized voice message recording is still not updated.  He's a bit worried that CPC-V has not yet received the application for the past 3 weeks, or the said number has just not updated the details so far?

There was also a voice recording that if you want to speak to an agent, they are available to attend calls only during Thursday and Friday, huh, is it true?

Please post your comments and we will truly appreciate it.  Thank you.
