In this case whether a TRV is needed?

Hi everybody who can help,

I entered Toronto as a VISITOR 4 months ago.  I am applying for PR under Common Law condition. All the documents have been sent to CIC and I received a message in return that my application was processing.

I appreciate for any body who could tell me whether I need to apply for an extend stay visa under this circumstance?
