Respectable seniors! We send our supporting documents in August2010... last week we enquired from London visa office about the current status of our application through e mail, and they send us an email which is as under; kindly tell ur wise opinion what is the meaning of their answer....regards
"Your documents are on file but the processing has not yet started.
CIC is working closely to manage arrivals in Canada, so that we meet, but do not exceed the immigration plan set by Parliament last fall for 2011.  Since we have larger inventories of applications than limits within the immigration plan for admissions to Canada, we must process applications according to the priorities set by Parliament.  As we have a sufficient number of applications in our high priority categories, we are not in a position to process your application at this time, nor can we predict when processing on your application will resume."

1. As your e-Cas would/should show 'in process' by now -- it would suggest that your case processing has commenced. It's another matter that the file might currently be in 'queue' for the next stage of case progress. That response from your VO signifies that.

2. Indeed this time of the yr things tend to get a shade slower in all VOs -- the yearly 'quota' is the cause. Which prioritizes the files further, asper HRSDC directives.

3. This is pretty much a std-letter, received by many. That doesn't indicate a very horrendous situation... given a few months the queues'd sure start to move, forward. Just don't lose heart... hang-on for the time-being.

Good luck.
