I'm sorry if this has been said numerous times... but I'm so impatiently waiting and thought I'd ask to see if anyone here knows exactly what that means.... When they say the application is "in process"' and give you a client ID number... does that mean chances are it was approved? Gosh I feel like I'm pins and needles waiting... this is crazy!

Oops, I was a bit early assuming you got approved. Did you try to log in to Ecas yet?

I tried but it wouldn't let me. I called CIC and they said it was currently in process and he gave me a client ID number.

Probably means you'll get approved in a few days though, if they haven't already approved you and the people on the phone just didn't know it yet because it didn't show up in their system. Hang in there Smiley

I hope so. I'm checking my email about every 15 minutes, driving myself completely insane. Thank you Smiley

Hey I dont want to discourage you. However, if you look at other people's postings you will notice that even after they request you passport, they may take 2-3 months. They have my passport in New Delhi India Canadian High Commision for last four weeks. It still shows in process on line.

I hope your hubby gets the Visa soon.

Good Luck.!

In process means just that. Someone has taken the time to look at your application and input it into the system. Unfortunately it really doesn't mean anything beyond that, though I think once they start processing the sponsorship application there is usually a fairly fast turn around time, as in they'll make a decision within a few days.

As for the PR application, there is no guarantee that once your application goes to in process that it will indeed be treated quickly. My PR application went to in process in July 2011, and I still haven't received a PPR request or any other update. Some people though, see it switch to in process on e-cas and have their PPR requested shortly thereafter.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but I do hope for your sake that they make a decision quickly!
