Hi,

My husband has a canadian work permit for 2 years and I have a dependant visa.
My father also stays with us and would like to take him along with us in Canada.
We would like him to stay for the entire duration we are there.

What visa he should apply for? Can he get a visa for 2 years to stay with us in Canada?

1.  Is he from a visa exempt country?  If not he requires a TRV.
2.  If he doesn't require a TRV, then he comes as a visitor and if he can proof he can support himself, he would probably be admitted for 6 months.  He would have to apply for extensions to Vegreville and there is no guarantee that he would be allowed to stay for the 2 years.
