so clearly ther is no way that my mexican wife can be sponsored with the help of my father as I just came back to canada....i dont have a job and no bank account......

They don't easily accept your own real parents. It's paused for 2 years now. how would they accept  a father in law sponsering his daughter in law  Cool

HuhHuh?

YOU must apply to sponsor your spouse.  If you are still job-hunting and relying on savings and your father will be providing assistance for you to meet your needs until you are established again, then he may assist the sponsorship process by providing a letter of support regarding your relationship and the assistance (financial, home etc) that he is willing to offer.  So, yes, he can help you, but not by assuming a responsibility which can be only yours.

There is no specific income requirement to sponsor your own spouse.  Nicer if you have a job though.
