Dear All,

I am thinking about taking my car from the US to Canada. I have been trying to read online but it seems awfully complicated. Has anyone done it? Is it worth it? What do I have to do? Are there any tax/import costs?

Thanks for your help!

Cheesy, I prefer to bring a car from US because it is cheaper there than Canada. But the formalities for importing together the tax ( customs duty ) to be paid at CBSA seems little tiring.

More over if you are a resident of Canada you can buy car with finance assistance. But if buying from US while residing in Canada you have to pay full cash or some other arrangements to be made (?).
