Resp seniors,

Important question...

My cousin works in an energy comapny and qualifies under 9212 category. However, his designation in the company is engineer operation and maintenance. I checked NOC site and such designation is not specified. However, his duties match with those stated in 9212 category.

Now my question is, should we write the exact designation which he posseses in his company or should we select a suitable title from the list which is there on NOC site. His colleague sent his file and worte a suitable title of his job from the NOC list rather than his own title and insisting my cousin to do so.

Please guide us, and also guide if my cousin's colleague is right or not and if he is wrong, his file will be rejected? As of now my cousin's colleague has got file no from CIO and planning to send his documents next month.

Please reply me friends...

Job title does not matter, what matters is the job duties in the NOC code. he will be ok with the current job title

i have no idea what is the right thing to do.. but, what i did was that i wrote my actual  title on the Application form. And the closest mapped title in the Schedule 3 Work Ex explanation...

I am not an expert. I have learnt from www.cic.gc.ca, EG7, OP6 and this forum. Use these resources and take your decisions.
