Hello Joy,

Yes, you will have to send the original reference letter from all your employers. It should contain your dates of employment, salary, designation, job responsibilities, etc.,

Notarized employment reference letters are not accepted(very rare chances they will accept), but notarized employment contracts are required to submit to the CIO. To notarize the documents in India, the cost is very random, you may bargain if you have more documents to be notarized. it may be anywhere from 10 INR to 250 INR.

For the sample reference letter, it depends on your NOC. The best bet would be to prepare your duties in bullet points, and correlate them with the description in the NOC code, from the HSRDC website. Ensure it doesn't sound the same as in the NOC description, but at least a 40% of them mentioned in the NOC description has to be covered in your reference letter. Hope i'm not confusing Huh Huh

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Hi Indra_Prab.

Thanks for putting all usefull information.

I need your help .

Can you please provide me drafting of the Appiontment Letter as well as reliving Letter also Ref./Exp Letter ?

Please ....

Awating for reply.

Mayank

Hi Mayank,

I was wondering why would you draft a appointment letter, relieving letter and a employment reference letter? Are you self employed? Anyway, all these letters don't have a very specific format.

For samples of other letters, there are plenty out in the internet. Google it and help yourself Smiley

Thanks,

Indira Prabhakaran.

Government of Canada launches innovative program to help newcomer youth

London, November 17, 2010 — The Government of Canada is investing more than $1.6 million to help newcomer youth and their families in London, Ed Holder, Member of Parliament for London West announced today, on behalf of the Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism.

The Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) program provides newcomer families with an interactive orientation to the Ontario school system as well as referrals to settlement agencies and other community support services. Settlement workers also engage with students, parents and school staff to increase cultural awareness and sensitivity in London area schools.

“The Government of Canada is helping newcomer youth and their families succeed,” said MP Holder. “This investment will help improve the lives of young newcomers to London. When we invest in our youth, we invest in the future of Canada.”

“Our government knows that helping newcomer families get settled is key to their success,” said Dr. Eric Hoskins, Ontario Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. “Settlement resources need to be easily accessible. By making settlement workers available in schools in the London area, we are making sure that the needs of our newcomer families are met.”

“This is a great example of how a community partnership can help students and their families who are new to Canada adjust to their new home in London,” said Jeffery Robinson, Learning Coordinator at the Thames Valley District School Board. “Schools are a hub for a community and a natural meeting place for the children and parents of new Canadians.”

Since 2005, the Government of Canada has more than tripled its annual spending on settlement services for newcomers in Ontario.  For 2010-11, the Government of Canada is allocating $428 million in Ontario for settlement services for newcomers, such as language training, job search workshops and placing settlement workers in schools.

Thanks Indira Prabhakaran,

Thanks for providing me information, I am having couple of doubts regarding documents

Should i keep CIO specific documents and Country Visa office specific documents in separate envelope or single will be okay.

Please let me know how exactly we should put documents in main envelope as in IMM5612E - Other Documents (to be submitted to the cio by all the applicants) section, they have mentioned two check points

[GATHER AND SUBMIT TO THE CIO ALL THE DOCUMENTS LISTED  ON BOTH CHECKLISTS]
1. this document checklist (use as coverpage) and
2. visa office specific document check list

FORMAT  - COPY

I didnt get meaning of this section requirement.

Please explain me to clear my doubts

Thanks

thanks in advance

Bhavik
Saurav bhai

Please read the last sentence in my previous post..... few documents + or - .....  Cool Cool
I sincerely think that you should also go through (carefully) the Instruction Guide (IMM EG7000 or EG7) & Visa Office Guide (E37029) for New Delhi. You will have a very clear picture of the whole procedure.

For NOC limit you can get the updates at - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp
1122 has already reached the cap of 1000!!! All the Best.

Dear Bhavik

I am giving you the details about the arrangement of documents. 1st set (CIO specific) remains the same for all applicants. 2nd set is based on New Delhi VO specific arrangement. It may differ from VO to VO. Also kindly understand that this is the way I HAVE DONE IT..... this is just for reference.... you are not bound to do the same way as I have done....... you are free to do in your own way.

Please arrange the documents exactly as per the given serials (reply # 789 on page 53)
(1) Make 2 sets / bundles - putting each bundle under different 'Binder Clips'
(2) 1st Set will be that of CIO - Starting from Sl 1 (CIO check list with ticks) on TOP, till Sl # 13 ... it will be DD/BD in the last. You can add a blank sheet after that. The binder clip has to be a small one ..... should take around 25 sheets!!
(3) 2nd Set will be that of VO - Starting from Sl 14 (VO check list with ticks) on TOP ....till Sl # 45 .... bank statement + notarized photocopy of FDs (if any) + bank certificate (if any). Again add a blank sheet at the end.... just to conclude the requirement. Here the binder clip has to be a real big one..... depending on the number of PPs you are submitting, it should hold anywhere between 125 to 200 pages!!!
(4) Staple the photograph envelopes on top left / right corner of IMM0008. Be careful not to damage the photos inside the cover.
(5) Please remember that few documents may not apply to you, like if you are unmarried or have only 1 kid or have 3 kids  Cheesy or your / spouse education is till graduation ..... so consider few omissions & additions in the list.
(6) Put both the sets / bundles (CIO on top) in a big cover and seal it. Don't forget to write the complete address on this cover. At FedEx, they will give you their cover .... put your main big cover in this, and seal. Again write down the address on FedEx cover.      Cool Cool Cool            .........phewwwww .... hope this helps you. All the Best.

Cheers, Anil

I have  sent my  application to  CIO along with all the required documents as per new rules and which was as per website of Fedex was delivered to CIO on 18-8-2010.

But I have not received any response for delivery of my application to CIO by CIO even after passage of at least two Months.
Is there any one who had submitted his application after 26-06-2010 and also has received any response for delivery of application from CIO.

Is there any other way to confirm that my application is under process in CIO.

Hi blueray333!
I am trying to revise my application finally as i have already posted and again returned back my documents from the courier today. I am still wondering the same doubts as u had and since u have already submitted the application long time i need ur guidance regarding this ---my VO too has the format ---(Copies of passports or travel documents for you, your spouse or common-law partner and your dependent children. Include only copies of pages showing:
- the passport number,
- date of issue and expiry
- your photo, name, date and place of birth)
What does this mean do we have to submit all the pages of passport we have stamps of travelling in another country or only the biodata page would work out?
And If you live in a country different from your nationality, include a photocopy of your visa for the country where you currently live. i have a 18month child who is not with me and has travelled to another country recently do i need to put her visa page copy
PLEASE guide me....
Thank you.
JOlly

Thanks for the tip Pippin.

Looking at the VO for my country, it says:

Copies of passports or travel documents for you, your spouse or common-law partner and your dependent children. Include only copies of pages showing:
- the passport number,
- date of issue and expiry
- your photo, name, date and place of birth

i guess this means only the passport bio-page will do for my country's VO.

Hi Bhavik

I have added your name in the ND tracker, so let me know the city where you are residing now.
(1) You don't have to make 2 different covers for each set .... instead put the whole stuff (both bundles /sets) in a big cover.... and then seal. Better to use binder clips ...instead of pins / gem clips.
(2) Birth certificate - Notarized copy of actual BC + Original translation in English (keep a copy for your own reference) + affidavit by the person who has translated the document (that he is an authorized person for such translation...... details are given on page 17 of EG7 under 'Translation of Documents'). ALL the 3 documents are mandatory.

Cheers, Anil
