Can Someone confirm which process we need to follow as I am facing same issue here in gujarat - india too.

I am still confused.  Huh Huh Sad :(Because I went to notary for getting my documenst notarised.
He told me that there are two types of notarization done. Shocked Shocked

One way is that on document, notary will affix 4 notarial stamps(issued by govt of india) of Rs. 5 each and cancelled with the name of the notary. Then besides these stamps, He will put a Big Round Red Seal(seems like a sticker sort of thing) of about 2 inches on the document and below this he will put the notary rubber stamp which is a normal rubber stamp and round in shape and in blue ink. He will also put the rubber stamp of "True Copy" on it. And then sign in the document under True Copy Stamp. This costs aprox. Rs. 30-40 per page.

Way Two is that notary will just put the notary rubber stamp which is round and in blue ink. Besides this he will put the rubber stamp of "True Copy" on it.  And then sign under True Copy Stamp. This will cost approx. Rs. 8-10 per Page.

I am sure, many of you have already submitted you application at the CIO Smiley Smiley and some of them are accepted  Smiley :)and Got AOR. Cheesy Cheesy Requesting you to advise, how did you get your documents notarized?
By Way one or Way two as explained above?

Hi Man

Just follow the second option. Ensure to write mandatory text on every page as mentioned in EG7 guide. Notary has to put his/her stamp( normally a circular rubber stamp, mentioning serial number), date and signature.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!

Follow the second option. We just need the second option. Also clarify with the notary that he should charge based on the per document instead per page. E.g. copy of passport (19 pages), should be treated as single document. But some Notary follows per page. So, better to clarify this with him.

Option-1 should be chosen if any document requires a translation, then Notary must use the Rs.5/- stamp, but not four, just one is sufficient.

Hope this should helps!

Hi,

Just open a MS word, create two different table (with 1-row, 1-table, and thin border, keep paragraph to center), type inside the table.
Keep a font of 18-20 (if Times Roman is chosen). So, the full page should contain just two Address Label (1st- Eng; 2nd- Offical Lang of the country).

Even for my official language (Hindi), I opted to type & not to write by hand.... you can do so by using Google transliterate.

HTH!

Hello Seniors,

Well in the checklist it is mentioned 2 self address mailing labels one in English and the second in the official language of your country.Does it mean that I have to send envelope with my address or just the address printout. please suggest.

So, I will write one letter of justification, followed by Class-X Cert & PAN copy as DoB proof, follwed by the print our of this email that I have received. This should Suffice!
ii) Got it.... It will be sent for only people aging 18+.
iii) Are you sure about sending the original reference letters & not notarized?... yes it make sense though...just asked!
iv) I will attach PAN card information as National ID & get it notarized.
v) YEs... all are original transcripts.

Dear moabbasi

(i) I too got the same reply from VO, N/Delhi ...... but somehow for the intial appraisal of the applications at CIO, I can't take their suggestions / solutions.  Cry Cry . If I don't get BC then I will follow your suggestion.
(iii) Yes..... Why??? ... with your replies to other members, I could make out that you have gone through the Instruction guide...!! It is mentioned sending original....... and originals need not be notarised.
(ii), (iv) & (v) Cool Wink Wink

Cheers, Anil

Dear friends

I have a slightly different opinion. Like I never knew there is a 2nd option also. I am from Hyderabad and here the procedure followed by these advocates are quite clear. Everybody had the same view!!!!

(1) I have gone with the first step!! The only difference was, they have pasted one 'Notary' judicial stamp of Rs 5/- with a big blue seal...called the notary seal. Then 2nd rubber stamp is for the certification...and the related details. There was no big red stamp / sticker as mentioned by one member.

(2) Without the judiciary stamp...it is for certification of the document.... which is also called 'Attestation'... but here they require 'Notarized photocopy'

(3) As mentioned by moabbasi -- ask for the notarization for the whole set..... because each passport has got 19 pages...and if 4 members are there then..... Lips sealed Lips sealed Cry Cry

Cheers, Anil

Some additional questions came up here:
1) Do I need to mention "Application for PR under FSW2" on top of the envelope .... or something like this?
2) Should I choose CC as option or Bank Draft? I saw some in some cases used CC & worked just fine. Any Suggestions?
3) Can someone share the format about the Travel History or share the sample doc with me or just guide me?

Hi Moabbasi

(1) Though, when NO NOC is mentioned on the cover...it implies that it is FOR cat 2 applicants ....but always better to mention like "Application for PR (FSW2)"
(2) Better to choose BD as compared to CC...... though results of CC are visible instantly... but it is always associated with the online charging...... servers may be busy, your CC company may deny foreign transaction, there may be timeout delay....etc etc...... BD is a sure shot payment receipt for CIO.  Cool Cool
(3) Can go like :-- Sl# ..... Origin ..... Onward date ......... Routing ........ Destination ....... Return Date ...... Visa type

Hello Experts / Friends,

My envelope will contain an approx 250+ pages (including application forms, supporting documents, 6 translated documents, etc...).

Is this is ok (a standard pkg type)? Wink

Is there anyway to reduce the number of pages??? (at least in case of passport copies?, becasue we are sending the copies of all the passports (new, old/expired) for all the members)....

Thanks all for replying to my confusion.
I got the documents notarized using second option only.
But the notrary stamp does not show any serial number in the cirucular stamp as told by nitinkalra here.

It it just a circular stamp of around 1.25 inch and inthe middle of cirle it is mentioned "notary" and on the upper part of periphery "the name of notary" and lowar part of periphery, "govt of india".

Is this sufficient or I need to get the stamp with serial number. If later is the option, I will do all the documents notarized again.

Hi Man

Just follow the second option. Ensure to write mandatory text on every page as mentioned in EG7 guide. Notary has to put his/her stamp( normally a circular rubber stamp, mentioning serial number), date and signature.

Hi, I just want to ask how true is it that you can still apply even if you scored less than the 67 passmark?

It is stated somewhere in their website that you can still apply if you can provide supporting documents that will prove that you can be economically established in Canada. What are those specific documents?

Upon self- assessment I only got 63 points. I am applying for FSW (registered nurse). I have a cousin (in Ontario) who can provide me temporary residence until I can take the CRNE (which requires proof of immigration). I am aware that I do not get points for having a cousin in Canada but would that help prove that I can be established in Canada aside from having my own settlement funds?

Please kindly advice me on this one. I am eager to submit an application getting hopes from that specific statement in the website:

If your score is lower than the pass mark, you are not likely to qualify to immigrate to Canada as a skilled worker. We recommend that you do not apply at this time.

However, you can still apply if you believe other factors would show that you are able to establish yourself in Canada and support your dependants. Send a detailed letter with your application explaining why you think you are able to become economically established in Canada. Include any documents that support your claim.
