anil04,

That's what my attorney informed me, and I have checked on this as well.  CIC is finding any excuse(s) for rejecting applications, and they do recommend a 6-month banking statement history.

I applied to the Buffalo, NY Visa Office and it could be that this might be their requirement only.  I don't know how the CIC operates & how strict they have become in lieu of the new rules, but it's best to submit all the docs to avoid rejection.

It's okay if you are showing funds in only your last month's banking statement, but you do have to show the other 5 months banking history as well.
I know this is a requirement, but I can't remember if it's the CIC requirement or the Buffalo VO requirement.  Hope this helps...

Few follow up questions:

Q1) Both me (primary applicant) and my spouse doesn't have Birth Certificate. It was never issued in the year 1978 & 1981 respectively. We use Class-X (Matriculation) certificate for Birth Certificate proof. Will this be considered for me & my spouse? Though our children have all the birth certificates in place.

Q2) There is a requirement for 6 Photographs of each family members. There is also a space for the photographs of primary applicant & dependents in the main application form. Does that mean – I need to send 6 Photographs along with the pasting 1 each in the form, so in total 7 Photos per person?

Q3) As I read in the Instruction guide, no need to show the funds if the applicant has valid AEO confirmation letter.
   - Do I still need to send the fund proof since it mentioned in the Visa-Specific (New Delhi) checklists?
   - If I don't have to show any fund under AEO, what value should I fill in Step 10. In Schedule-3 Application form?

Q4) For filling up the PR application, can I give PAN card as an Identity card number as requested under Step 19? Or should I mention it "N/A"?

Q5) In Step 12 (Schedule-3), I need to provide the NOC order of preference. Is it still a mandatory to fill in case an applicant have AEO letter & Job offer?

Q6) In schedule-1, Step-11 (Personal history): I found we need a more rows to fill in the details. Shall we use the Plain paper after this page (continuing the remaining lists)?  Or How should I write up in the continuation sheet..... any example?

Q7) In additional Family Information document, its mentioned that “complete all names in English and in your native language (HINDI)”
   - Do I need to fill the name columns of Section A, B, C with both English and native language in a same Box or do I need to choose separate sheets for it?

Any other documents I forgot to mention or any other tips or best practices in how to create a file/notes....header of the documents attached....etc...

(The only thing is left is PCC for me & Spouse, which will be send on a later date upon request).

Any inputs would be highly appreciated - friends!

Cheers,
Shadab

  69.   Offer Letter (self)                                                             ORIGINAL PRINT OUT

  70.   Bank Statement (Self+Spouse) (not required for AEO though)    ORIGINAL

EDUCATIONAL DOCUMENTS (SELF)

EDUCATIONAL DOCUMENTS (SPOUSE)

I think, transcripts are not required at the time of sending initial application. You should send Original transcripts to your local visa office at later stage.

YES

But no points will be awarded for Spouse Experience and no points will be deducted if you do not send spouse work experience documents.

Hello Experts,

I am set to apply for my PR under FSW2. Below are the lists of documents I am attaching (in order). Can someone help me and cross verify this & suggest for any addition or modifications?:
....
....
(The only thing is left is PCC for me & Spouse, which will be send on a later date upon request).

Any inputs would be highly appreciated - friends!

Cheers,
Shadab

Dear Shadab

First of all Eid Mubarak ....... and welcome to this family. WOW man...... Kiss....... one of the most exhaustive / extensive / informative (in the sense - collection of required documents at one place) thread I have seen....... I am sure many will agree with me.  Grin Grin Grin

OK now let me start with my opinions, as per your sl. #....... I feel they are correct  Cool Cool Cool
Later are my suggestions ..... as per my Sl # ...... Shocked Shocked Tongue Tongue Tongue Shocked Shocked (just kidding)

1) I won't say they are must........ BUT they are looking for that...... few members (in different threads) have sent their applications with 10th class certificate...and got the application returned with in 2 weeks of receiving (at CIO)..... ON THE OTHER HAND..... few members who have sent 10th class are still waiting for a reply. In short NOBODY is 100% confident that it will get accepted / returned. Though the 'Instruction Guide' says BC and not DoB proof!! Try to arrange the BCs....now a days it is not that difficult.... I am not aware of your problems...so bro... think logically Smiley

2) No, you should not paste / staple the photographs ...6 are required..... and you might have already marked (one photo each) and sorted out the photographs as per the requirement.  Smiley

3) No requirement of showing PoF. you can write N/A.... or else, as you have taken Bank statement can also fill this column with the equivalent amount in CAD... whatever you want to .... better NOT to fill, to avoid confusion

4) I have filled this column with my PAN card #. It is our ID proof issued by the Govt... and we are supposed to fill this column. Don't forget to take the photocopy and get it notarized  Smiley

5) In a way, step 12 is continuation of step 11 ... so based on that you have to fill the order of preference. Remember you are not going to be assessed under 29 NOC list....and by looking at the Courier cover itself one will come to know that it is from an AEO PR applicant.

6) Please don't write half information on application and balance on a sheet. Write 'Sheet Attached'. Then add the sheet immediately after this paper (after page 2 of 4). Mention your name at the top and then "Schedule 1 - Background / Declaration" as a heading. Then write the Sl # with the section, i.e. 11. Personnel History...and then details as per the table. Though it is mentioned - ...attach to this form a separate sheet of paper with further details. BUT it will be better to put FULL details on the sheet rather half here and balance there!!!  Cry

7) It is better to write name in Native language in the same box, under brackets. I have done like that. For whatever reason, if the space is not sufficient ....we have to add separate sheet.

Hope it helped...... Now my observations / suggestions -

(i) I recently contacted VO (ND) for this BC issue.....and guess...I got the worst..... and more confusing reply  Tongue Tongue Tongue. We can use any document issued by govt. for the purpose of DoB proof or in liue of BC Shocked Shocked Shocked
That means ration card, PAN card, PP, 10th class cert., DL.... or any such document....  Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue
NOW I don't know ----if I have problem with VO's reply / response, whom should I contact further.  Cry Undecided Lips sealed Embarrassed Huh Shocked
Better to try for Birth Certificates and send them....

(ii) Sl # 25 not required.... as it is for dependents above 18 years of age!!

(iii) All reference letters (both you & your spouse) have to be ORIGINAL, and NOT copy (notarized). I also didn't understand why there are 2 reference letters from the same company.... may be you got promotion and few job duties / responsibilities, added!!!

(iv) PAN card to be photocopied and notarized.

(v) You have to send the original transcripts ...(which you ARE sending)  Smiley

Hope I was of some help to you....  Shocked Shocked Cool Cool Huh Huh Grin Grin Grin         ALL THE BEST with your application.

Cheers, Anil

Dear members

After seeing the response of CIO, was curious ...... should we (members yet to apply) prefer CC charging or send Bank Drafts. Please suggest.

Hi Anil

I feel DD would be a good option, as CC transactions can take time or fail due to limit, over usage(when CIC tries to charge it) or currency transaction. I guess DD is always a local one(country I mean!) so should not be a problem.

One confusion related to DD, is it 'The Receiver General for Canada' or 'Receiver General for Canada' different docs give different versions.

Couple of queries:

  • Is it mandatory to include ID card number (IMM008 generic), if yes whats the best answer, passport or PAN number (just in case it is really mandatory)
  • DO we need to write details at the back of each photo or just 1 for every member in the application

Thanks in advance!

Hi Anil

Thanks in advance!

Hi Nitin

Thanks for the suggestions. I was in a big dilemma as to send DD or payment through CC. Both have got their own advantages and disadvantages..... but finally decided to go with Bank draft. Thanks again!!! It can be in favor of either of the two......... However, 'The Receiver General for Canada' will be fine as the same is mentioned on the 'Payment Fee form'.
(1) No..... it is not mandatory....I said so on moral grounds!!!!..... On the other hand, when the docs come to VO, for some reason if we have to show our ID.... then same will serve the purpose.... and I feel it will be better to give one more ID proof. If you feel PAN is a problem ... then go ahead with Voter ID card / DL .....and not PP...it is already there!!
(2) As per CIO we have to write the details in the back of only one photo (each person). I have observed that VO somehow tries to follow the old system ..... they update late...don't give proper info ..... 'lakeer ke fakeer'.... they don't even know the new procedure followed by CIO ...... AND if there is a clash of thoughts / instructions...then CIO decision prevails.

Hope you got me....Take care

Cheers, Anil

With CIO's response I meant the charging of CC (which was quite instant/fast) while there was no news for BD /DD.
