Then write 5 + 7 + 4
your 11th & 12th grade is still secondary school certificate and not bachelors degree.

hello everyone!

Can anybody please help me clarify if I need to submit certified photocopies of my documents or just copy of it only. I am very confused. Because it says copy only, and the only certified document asked is transcript from school, the rest are originals and copy. I am from the Philippines. Please help. Thanks in advance.

I'm seeing a lot of questions going around about the new checklist and what documents to send to the CIO.

As I read the new information, it seems that with the changes made on June 26, you now need to submit ALL the documents to the CIO, including everything requested in the specific visa office checklist for the visa office you select with your initial application. [NOTE: this does NOT apply to people who submitted their applications to the CIO before June 26, 2010]   Take a look at the application instructions and the Backgrounder:

The instructions say:
"Make sure to consult the document checklist (IMM 5612) and the Visa Office specific requirements (supporting documents) for your country at: www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled-mission.asp to determine what documents you will need to provide. If you are not prepared to submit full documentation to the CIO do not apply now.   If you do not submit a complete application with the supporting documents, your application will be returned to you."

The backgrounder explains the change
"9. Why are you eliminating the simplified application?

Since we changed to the simplified application we've noticed a significantly higher number of applicants withdraw when asked for their supporting documents, or full application. By eliminating the simplified application and asking for all the documentation at once, we will make processing more efficient. Eliminating the simplified application shaves 120 days off the total processing time, because this is the time we allowed applicants to send in their supporting documents."
(from "http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/backgrounders/2010/2010-06-26c.asp")

Many people are specifically asking about IELTS and PCC - and yes! you need to include them.   Now

1) EVERY PRINCIPAL APPLICANT must submit the language test results (even if your native language in English or French) for an accredited test (currently IELTS and CELPIP for English and TEF for French) with their application (to the CIO)

2) PCC's must be submitted for EVERY APPLICANT (principal applicant, spouse, conjugal partner, children over a certain age depending on each country - usually 18 but sometimes 16) for every country you have lived in for 6 months or more since you were 16 or 18 years old.   Note also that these must be in English or French or translated by an accredited translator.

I know this seems to be a big change, but don't despair.   What you need to send hasn't changed ... you just need to send it all at once.   Think positive - you no longer have to wait until you get AOR from CIO and therefore this process should be faster and this way you can make sure you have everything in time (there's been many posts before from people who are looking to get extensions from 120 days which will no longer be necessary).    Good luck to everyone!  If you have questions, post and search the forum ... there's lots of people who are very helpful here!

The information are very helpful thanks a lot.

You should note that the reason for these changes is supposed to be that it will speed up processing. If they get everything up front, then there is no subsequent delay while they ask for the documents later. If they process these cases while the documentation is still fresh, things will get done very much more quickly ..... or at least that is their logic.

Of course, they very often to not live up to expectations. They plan on doing things quickly, but when they fail to do so they end up creating more work for everyone. If delays result in information becoming stale, then they have to ask for the information to be updated, which requires them to send out correspondence (delays) and for the applicant to respond (delays).

But, whether they deliver on expectations or not, the applicant has no choice but to comply with the requests/demands of Canada's immigration authorities. If the applicant does not comply, immigration authorities take advantage of the opportunity to reject the application, thereby reducing the backlog and their workload accordingly.

Dear Sir,

You are going about it backwards. Do not ask if the list you gave fits the job, ask yourself if you have performed some of the relevant job duties. Compare what you have done in the last ten years to the list I set out below. Ask yourself if you have done "some" of these duties for at least 12 months, in the last ten years. If the answer is "yes", then it is worth further investigation to see if you qualify. However, you should also keep in mind that the Canadian government will take receipt of only 500 applications in this job category in the coming year, and that this is the job category that was closed first last year, when they took receipt of 1000 applications in this category. Do not lose any time to do this assessment and to get your application filed, if you qualify.

You must have performed some of the duties listed here, for at least 12 months, in the last ten years:

To qualify under NOC 1122 the application must have at least 12 months of work experience in some of the following job duties:
•   Analyze and provide advice on the managerial methods and organization of a public or private sector establishment
•   Conduct research to determine efficiency and effectiveness of managerial policies and programs
•   Conduct assessments and propose improvements to methods, systems and procedures in areas such as operations, human resources, records management and communications
•   Conduct quality audits and develop quality management and quality assurance standards for ISO (International Organization for Standardization) registration
•   Plan the re-organization of the operations of an establishment
•   May supervise contracted researchers or clerical staff.
Advertising and promotion consultants perform some or all of the following
duties:
•   Assess characteristics of products or services to be promoted and advise on the advertising needs of an establishment
•   Advise clients on advertising or sales promotion strategies.
•   Develop and implement advertising campaigns appropriate for print or electronic media.

Seniors!

Correct me if I am wrong, now only one document checklist has to be looked at for CIO, it's no more required to go through the visa office related checklist e.g. London, when I went to the London checklist, 1st it is showing Rabat and even so then it says clearly on top as provincial nominee or Quebec , nothing about federal skilled worker class. Check webpage of missions .

Please confirm , if it's so then many detailed requirements from visa office related will not be required and only 1 checklist has to be referred !
