Importance/applicability of point of entry for the Canadian immigrant

Dear all,
I just received my canadian immigrant visa stamped on my passport with my point of entry being Edmonton Alberta (as submitted in my immigration application.) However, I want to canada by landing in Toronto. I wanted to know that does the point of entry mentioned in the landing paper relevant/applicable?  Can I land and enter Canada from any point of entry say Toronto instead of the one mentioned in my landing form?
