Import Car from US

i have a question concerning importing our car. I am having my daughter drive my car up and I am flying due to medical problems. I know that she can bring my goods across the border with my goods to follow list but I know that she cannot do the car.

Can I drive down at a later date and bring my car in? And if so do I need to enter the US or can I just go to the Canadian Border?

Also, I am a dual citizen (Canadian/American) and my husband is a new PR. I have lived in the US for the past 30 years. We landed at Pearson 6/15 and everything went great. Except that when we tried to give them our B4 form they told us that I could just do it when I come up in September. We had tons of stuff with us (5 big bags) but they just waved us through.
Will this cause me any problems when my daughter goes across the border with our stuff?
