Hi,

Right now I am on a 3 year open work visa that I got as an extension of a previous student visa. It is expiring July 18, and I plan on going back to school in Canada in the fall. I have applied for my student visa, and am awaiting my application.

Can I continue to work under the implied status provisions? Or because I am switching visas, does it no longer apply?

As you are not applying for a work permit extension at the same employer, you can't continue working when your PGWP expires.
