Immigration Process Sydney Australia to Canada

Hi guys,

I am currently an international student in Sydney, Australia. I have applied for PR as an Accountant under Skilled Worker in June 2010. I am a holder of Pakistani Passport and in Sydney since 3 years. I have applied from Sydney (not from Pakistan). Although I have hired a lawyer based in Canada but she is not taking any step to fast track the process. Now after applying once my application got rejected but my lawyer appealed and luckily we won. After that in Oct 2010 they had ask for the original documents and my application was transfered from Nova Scotia, Canada to Sydney, Australia. I was given 4 months to do that and I did just before the deadline but since then(since 15 feb 2011 to date 22 Nov 2011) I havent got any single reply and online status of my application is showing that they did receive my documents but they are pending review. I think they haven't even open my file yet. Anyone got any idea that how more time they can take for the rest of the process? This is irritating me since its been ages.

This is what my online application status states:

"We received your application for permanent residence on June 9, 2010.
 
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 22, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
 
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Sydney Australia office. They are pending review. "

Hi,  send them a case specific enquiry (e-mail). Follow this link:

They will probably tell you the same thing 'supporting documents pending review' but you know at least your are not forgotten. Include your name, file number, DoB and country of birth in your e-mail.

Hi, Sydney VO is slow, I am still waiting for my PP request, they were very clear when they told me that currently they are following instruction as per the 2010 Ministerial directions and they had to keep issueing of the Visa to meet the current Quota.

Look at my timelines, and just today, I got a letter from CHC, Sydney, that they gonna send me the date of interview soon....they did not mention why they asked for the interview? please friends who have attended the interview, please share your experience again, especially friends from Sydney (Australia).....

My lawyer had already enquire about my case and they said its pending review and you have to wait. BUT FOR HOW LONG!!! Anyways thanks for the reply.

You are very lucky that they have waived you interview. I am very much nervous about this hope they will waive my one as well. But can you please tell me what could be the reason, according to you, that they have waived it? Any idea?

Still your one is better look at my one its more longer than ur's. Anyways best of luck for the interview. My friend attempted interview and he was asked enquiry kind of question about his documents. More specifically about work experience. And to be honest his interviewer told him upfront that I don't think you have got this much experience and you are showing fake employement documents. He even told him that you have failed this interview and he was very much disappointed but still he got PR lol dont know how their system works. But don't worry everything will be good. Just practice enquiry kind of questions and you will be fine.

IS THERE ANYONE ELSE WHO CAN SUGGEST ME ANYTHING? OR ATLEAST GIVE ME SOME IDEA THAT IS "NO REPLY FOR LONG" A GOOD SIGN OR A BAD ONE?

Well the processing time in Sydney is 17 months for 80% of the application.  As you are a Pakistani citizen, Sydney will have to liaise with Isbad for background and security checks which will take additional time.

Friends, please let me know, if here is anyone, who got a letter from vo about the interview to be coming but not mentioned the date....If anyone has a format for that please PM me.....and how long did they take to give the date for final interview please.

Hope you all doing good. Now tension starts here, I have just check online status of my application and it shows this

"Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on June 9, 2010.
 
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on October 22, 2010. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
 
Your application and supporting documents were received by the Sydney Australia office. They are pending review.
 
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on March 15, 2012.
 
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

NO MEDICAL REQUEST was sent before DECISION MADE. Dont know what does this means but online search shows that most likely it will be a rejection. Hope IT WILL NOT. Because I have spend thousands of dollars on this :  @

Now a days e-cas is not showing status properly. I think, you should not get disheartened straight-a-way. Wait for few more weeks to see whether any letter is arriving from SVO.

Hi, My VO is Sydney as well. E-CAS is difinitely not updated and its a fact! I already got my VISA but my Ecas says " we started processing your application on ____". For me, until you received the processing date its not a valid " in process " But after you received the " we started...." then don't wait for a change of status but wait for the disappearance of address. My add disappeared before i got my Med Request and disaapeared again before i got my VISA. gOOD LUCK nad hope that help!
