Hi,

We just spoke to the local DMP in Virginia at Reston, for me and my wife they quoted the following costs in USD
  • $330 per person
  • $46 additional for X-Ray
  • Pap smear test for spouse $72

The total works to $824 for two of us.

It seems exhorbitant to me but in VA there are only 2 unique doctors and the other one is in Suffolk which is quiet far from us.

Does Anyone else have experience on the cost in the states?

i can ask a friend of mine how much it cost her. How about any neighbouring states for you? Are you near any other states?

I can think of Washington DC ( within 25 miles)
Maryland ( within 50 miles)
and
New York ( 3 hours 200 miles ) - but that may not make sense

That's still cheap compare to what I paid in Arizona. In AZ, there's only 1 accredited DMP and I was charge $550 for adult and $150 for kids. For X-ray, I paid $110 each.

Don't rule out NY I did Full Medical, Bloodwork, Chest x-rays (no paps smear needed) for 1/2 that price by an approved physician on the CIC website last month. (Asian Dr. on Canal Street, in NY). I couldn't believe it when all the other doctors were quoting 800. They also worked on Sunday so we spent the weekend in NY and got it done. How much would a Bus Tkt cost you?  In terms of distance then I could see it but with the extra money you could probably enjoy a b'way show in NY.

Actually I think they gave you cheaper price. I also made an appointment at Reston and they said to me I have to pay 260 plus x-ray 46.

Good luck for you,

Maybe they give different prices to diff people, should not be but the random numbers that we got makes me believe other way. $800 - $1200 etc.

We did ours in Reston too.

Additionally, they said they only send the results every two weeks and we missed our "slot" and so our should go this Tuesday.

Thanks,

I meant 360 plus 46 USD.

Do you mean they will send the results on Tuesday, 22 of Dec?

Oh mine, if I did on Monday, will my results be sent Tuesday as well?

Thanks,

I am talking of Dr.Anne Rose Eapen, they are at town centre drive in reston, they have a biweekly schedule, so yes we were in the middle of their cycle so 22nd is when they are saying ours will be sent.

DO you know of a thread or other places which tracks medical to PPR request?

I want to know a timeline of how much time to the request.
