Hello,

I'm sponsoring my wife to Montreal (Canada) who is currently living in Hong Kong. We received a letter of the HK visa saying that they started reviewing our file in August 2009. In September, we received the approval of the undertaking application from the MICC and they said that they will forward the approval to the HK visa office. My wife has received a request from the HK visa office recently to obtain the police certificate and to do the health tests. In the letter that she received they indicated that based on their preliminary review there will not be an interview (but, they could change their decision.).

Do anyone know how long it usually takes to have the final approval from the HK office after they have done the preliminary review and obtained the policy certificate and health report?

thank you!!!

From what I have heard this is pretty much the last step of the process, but I'm afraid I cannot offer you any detailed timelines. I don't think anyone could, but it is definitely a good sign.
