Wow...I can't believe it takes that long in Ontario!  We got married in Manitoba in August last year.  After the ceremony, the celebrant gave us the signed copy of the marriage license, because she knew we were in a hurry (we were heading back to London two weeks later).  We took the license to Vital Statistics in Winnipeg and submitted it by hand along with a request for a Marriage Certificate.  The Marriage Certificate arrived in the mail a week later!
