So I need to know if someone is immigrating to Quebec do they still send a complete application package to CPC-M or do they just send a complete part 1 so the sponsorship application

I know a CSQ is needed and the generic form ask for CSQ # or date applied problem is you cannot apply for CSQ until CPC-M approves you but to my understanding you cannot just send •Part 1: The sponsorship application to CPC-M

First, the whole package will go to CIC-M and after approval of the sponsorship you will receive an approval letter.
Second, fill the required forms set by MICC and send them with the approved letter from CIC-M (do keep a copy of the letter for your file).
Hope this helps.

so do you still complete all the forms because looking at the Quebec gvt website it says only complete part 1 then after u are approved by CIC and after you get a CSQ then u submit the application for permanent residence which makes no sense as there is no seperate checklist for quebec that says only do this so it suck like heck

so I found this in the guide:

Sponsors living in Quebec or currently outside Canada but who intend to reside in Quebec upon their return must only complete the Application to Sponsor and Undertaking (IMM 1344) and provide the required documents.

Quebec is so special ugh

You have to send the complete application with everything, all at once, to Mississauga. There are a few parts of the application that are not necessary if you are applying to Quebec. The checklist says on it which parts you can skip (some of the financial proof that CIC normally wants for sponsorship approval, for example.)

After CIC approves you for sponsorship, you then apply to the MICC for the CSQ. The rest of your CIC application continues on to the visa office automatically for the rest of the review process.

Hi, I'm facing the same problem with the visa application as Kedeisha.
I understand that anyone who wishes to reside in Quebec needs to apply for CSQ after the sponsorship approval from CPC-M.
However, there is a section to indicate the date I applied for CSQ in case I have not received it in the Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008).

How can I know of the date of my CSQ application at this stage even before sending complete application package to CPC-M???
This contradicts MICC's instruction on their website as they instruct applicants to submit the CSQ application form along with an undertaking application, which comes after the sponsorship approval.

Do you think I should leave the date field in blank? Please help.

the answer I got so far which was in the guide is you only send the application to sponsor and the sponsorship evaluation to CPC-M after that is approved you apply for CSQ after you get CSQ then you fill in the other forms and send them to you VO?HuhHuh? still not clear but my friend will be doing an entire application package and send to CPC-M

Thanks Kedeisha. I also went through the immigrant's guide few times on the Quebec government's website.
According to their instruction I can only apply for a CSQ after sponsorship approval, which means I can not know of the date I applied for it at this stage therefore, I am not able to indicate the date of CSQ application.

I just want to know if I should submit the complete application package without filling out the date or not.
Any inputs would be helpful. Thanks.

When I applied last October, I submitted the entire application to CIC (all at once). Once the CIC approved me for sponsorship they sent the approval letter to us. I then submitted the application for the CSQ and sponsorship approval from Quebec to the MICC and included copies of the CIC sponsorship approval with the application, as was indicated in the instructions. The MICC website is a little confusing and vague. So, I followed the CIC instructions on how to submit the CIC application and the MICC instructions on how to do the MICC application for the CSQ. I did not spend too much time worrying about what the MICC said about how to submit the CIC part of the application since it is not explained as thoroughly or accurately as the CIC instructions. The CIC instruction manual very thoroughly explains how to do the CIC application and has notes for how it is different if you are in Quebec. I printed that and had to read through it a couple of times, putting post-its on the relevant sections and underlining/highlighting until I had a clear understanding of the order of things and the ways in which the application to Quebec was different.

As far as the date for the application for the CSQ.... I just looked at the new 008 form (it was a different version of that form when I applied). On the new 008 form, the first block has you choose the program for which you are applying (family, economic, etc.) People applying to immigrate come via different categories and each category has different processes and a different order of how to do things. A skilled worker does the CSQ part before the main CIC part, for example. It looks like this form can now be filled out by people coming through these different ways, so that's why there is the possibility to write the date you applied. But the family applicant submits the whole CIC part first and then waits for CIC sponsorship approval before submitting the MICC application for the CSQ. It's complicated, for sure, but you just need to go with the order in the instructions for spousal/family applications. Good luck!
