Immigrating as a Physician
«

Hello
As soon as i finish my degree i am planning on immigrating.
I wanted to ask a couple of things:
In the skilled worker application need to have at least one year of experience but the process time for the application is almost a year,so is it possible to submit the application before i have the year experience because as it will be processed a year will pass...
In the other hand is it really necessary for a Physician to have work experience in order to apply?
So would be better to get the Canadian Md license and get an arranged work for year and apply within Canada for the permanent residence permit?
When calculating my min 67 points for the skilled worker application i don't know what box to choose,as i have 12 year in school and 6 more as student. So should i check the last one as someone that has Phd which gives me 25 points?
Thank you.

1. No, you have to have 1 years experience on the date you submit the application.
2. MD is first level degree and is worth 20 points.
3. You really should look into what it will take to qualify in Canada as a physician, as there are extremely few foreign trained internships available.
