Hello Friends,

I was reading Citizenship Application Form. I have some questions (A, B , C , D ).

(A) On page 5, point number 2 of CIT 0002, reads as follow:

2: Photocopy of your record of landing (IMM1000) or Confirmation of Permananent Residence (IMM 5292)...

My concern is:
I landed in June 2008. I was not given IMM 1000.
I have Part 3 of IMM 5292. However, I do not have IMM 1000.

From where do I get this IMM 1000? Was that given to me at the time of landing? I understand it is either or (IMM 1000 and IMM 5292). However, I would like to submit both of them (IMM 1000 and IMM 5292). Please guide.

(B)
Do I have to submit photocopy of Part 1 and Part 3 of IMM 5292? What should I do about Part 2, which is mostly taken at the Airport, by immigration officer?

(C)
Do I need notarised photocopy for submission, along with Citizen Application?

(D)
Which is the reasonable and authentic place for photograph for citizenship application? I live in Toronto. Please suggest.

Thank you in advance, for every one for your time and answer.
Sincerely,
L Ray

It says one OR the other.  Not both.  I believe older immigrants got the IMM 1000 and later it was changed to IMM 5292.  Just send what you have.

B, send what you have, I am sure other people also had to give their part 2 to the IO.

C, if it says photocopy, then send a photocopy.  If you want to get it certified, you can do that too but if it doesn't say it has to be, then you don't have to.

D, I don't live in Toronto but if you want to go to Edmonton, I recommend McBain in Kingsway mall, don't go to Black's.  The main thing is to bring your photo specs to the photographer and make sure that they get it right.

Thanks, Leon! Leon, I understand, you are asenior member and you have helped many persons in this forum. It takes much of your time. I, honestly, appreciate your help and feedback.

My another concern is as follow for Part 6 (E):

I travelled to my home country four times in last 3 years for variable length of time. e.g. sometime 6 months and sometime 3 weeks, due to Mother's ill health and eventually death.
Every time, in my home country and in Toronto, I have resided at same address.

Once, I travelled to USA for three days as a tourist. I went to US as a tourist, in a conducted tour. In USA, it was neither a residence nor employment and not for education.

I do have all of my correct dates of entry and exit from Canada.

I understand, Part 6 (E) of Citizenship Form needs to be filled by dates and addresses in Foreign countries.

In my case, how do I fill Part 6 (E) of Citizenship Form?
Everytime, I write address for each journey outside Canada, eventhough the address is same each time in back home and Canada??
Do I need to enter the travelling in USA also, eventhough it was only as a tourist? I stayed in hotel with a tourist group. In USA, obviously, I don't have any residence address.

Regards,
Lisa.

Write all dates and addresses as truthfully as you can.  For the hotel, write "hotel" and the address.  If you do not remember the address of the hotel, write "hotel" and the name of the city.
