IMM0008 NEW FORM - QUESTION 7

Hi,

Question Number 7 on IMM008 is the following -

"Have you received your Certificat de Sélection du Québec (CSQ)?

Check the corresponding box
If you checked “Yes”, please indicate the CSQ number
If you checked “No”, indicate the date when you applied for your CSQ"

I am Canadian Citizen living and working in Quebec and am applying to sponsor my spouse to Quebec. I was under the impression that once federal application is submitted, they contact Quebec Government and then the Quebec Goverment contacts me regarding the CSQ.

So, do I need to answer this question?

IMM0008 is a generic form that is used for all different types of immigrant streams.  In a spousal sponsorship, Q#7 would not be applicable because, you're right, after CPC-Mississauga approves the sponsorship, they order the CSQ paperwork to be sent to you.  SO you would not have a CSQ number prior to submitting the sponsorship package.

Ah no, we cannot write on that field, we must choose a date! Help, please! Should I put a date in the future guessing when we shall receive the sponsorship approval from Mississauga???

I realized that you can still validate the form without putting a date in, should be still put in N/A?
