IMM 5490 - Date of Introduction

I started chatting with my wife to be via e-mail long before we actually met in person.
On Imm 5490 it asks who introduced you and when ?

Well mine was an arranged marriage i.e. my Aunt knew this gal, she gave us each others emails and we chatted and the finally I wen to go an see her on XYZ date. Now I know that I can put my Aunt as an itroducer but what will be the date of introduction? Is it the date we met? or the date we exchnaged emails? please advise Gurus

I wouldn't call it an "arranged marriage", but that's just a sidenote.....

I would say the date of introduction would be the date she gave you her e-mail address/told you about her.
It's not the date when you first met, since this is an additional question in the form.

like valy79 said, there is another question which asks when did u meet in person....so the actual date of introduction would be the first time u made contact.
