Hello all,
This question is is regards to IMM 5461 - Sponsorship Evaluation. Question number 2, regarding employment.

My common law partner of 4 years is sponsoring me to come to Canada.
However- he is Canadian and is living here with me in the USA as a visitor. He has been here for 1 year as a visitor ( but left for short visits back to Canada so as to not overstay his visitor visa )

He is Unemployed and I support him because he cannot legally work here.
Is it enough to say this?
Should I mention that he is also our 'home maker' ie. does the shopping, cooks, helps clean up , laundry etc since I am out working all day.
Or is that too much information?

I'd mention 'homemaker' or 'househusband'. After all, a woman who was a housewife would not put 'unemployed', she would put 'housewife' or 'homemaker'.
