Hi there,

I'm sponsored by my canadian husband, and we are confused by the following question:

the Application to sponsor and undertaking form IMM 1344 A (07-2004) E

Question #6 (p. 3 of 5)

The address we submitted in 6.a is the country where the applicant is a national. However my husband is not sponsoring me under the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class...Do I then need to complete parts 6.b and 6.c? If I do, how should I fill them in? Please help as this question is the last one I need to complete but am very confused.

Thank you very much

Hi Catarina

It is confusing!

However it does say to skip b) and c) only if doing an in-land application so you'll have to put something in there and I'd put N/A on both, don't leave them blank (be sure not to leave any questions blank).

They will see from your answers to question 1 that the address in 6a) is your home country.

Thank you very much for your reply,

I've been reading the question like 100 times, still couldn't get it.

anyway, thanks a lot for the answer, I would certainly do that.

Regards,

Catarina

I think CIC is allowing for someone to be a Permanent Resident or legally working in a foreign country and can't get "home" for an interview to have the application processed where they are.

I think they need to revise the forms and make it clearer though!
