I am in the same boat as your brother. My caips says indicated 03/11/2010 but heard nothing from them so far. I contacted my VO about 3 weeks ago and still waiting for their response.

We are in the same boat. Mine was to be issued on 3rd May 2010 but haven't heard from them. I have sent series of case specific enquiries to them but got a response that my file is in queue for review. So, Patience is the rule of the game. Thanks.

Last month, I got reply even in less then 2 min. I sent an email and was shutting down my computer, when I saw a popup in my messenger. When I opened it, it was a reply from CHC London, telling me that my case is in process and Ecas has some technical problems so thats why, I cant see my status on Ecas.

My brother sent an email to CHC London asking that now it is more then 8 months and still his case is RBVO. He received the following replying yesterday.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your enquiry.

Unfortunately, it will take longer to process Federal Skilled Worker applications submitted under the first set of instructions (between February 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010) than originally projected.

During this time, the department received applications for more than 425,000 people, and 144,000 of these have not yet received a decision.

This number represents more than twice the number of projected admissions under the Federal Skilled Worker program in 2011, so many of these applicants will have to wait two years or more to be processed.  Because they reflect Canada's current labour market needs, applications under the most recent set of ministerial instructions are processed on a priority basis.

Our office sends immigration decisions and information requests by post or by email to the mailing and email addresses provided in the application. Therefore, it is important that our office be notified immediately of any change of address and contact details.

We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

Yours sincerely,

After reading this email, I think that we should understand that all this immigration is a flawed system which only gives a false hope to every one.

Thank you for your information sharing.

So this means it could take 2 yrs or more even our CAIPS says IMM1017s request?  I cannot believe this.

They might as well tell us "we will NEVER receive visa" This is frustrating.
I guess there is nothing we can do.

As in my brother case, B'FD is some where in 2013, so from this email and keeping my brother B'FD date, I think that it will tak again unlimited time.
I sent another email to CHC London asking that does their reply means that my application stuck some where in the bundle of pending? Lets see what they reply this time.
Looks like that if new policy comes, then they will leave even the post 26 june application and will start working on new applications.
