I have my Brother who got his PR 2 yrs ago. Now as per the visa office specific requirements: The guidebook says that I need photocopy of his IMM 1000 (landing confirmation),  photocopy of Confirmation of PR  or   PR card. Now, I got his Confirmation of PR and PR card. But he said there is no IMM 1000 (landing confirmation) paper that he could remember about. Forum members please clarify what do they actually need.

No IMM 1000s were issued after June/02 so he doesn't have one.

Then why Does CIC has that condition as a "must" on visa office specific information instruction-Singapore?
God, I had been frustrating my brother all the day long for that. CIC should be alarmed about these types of obsolete things to be removed from their requirements list.

I guess this obsolete condition is also frustrating many like me and my Bro.   Crap !!!

So What do I need to submit now? photocopies of The PR card, PR confirmation and etc?

residing and paying bills taxes has nothing to do with "Proof of Landing", but in order to get 5 marks, you have to prove that;

1. your brother is a canadian PR or a citizen
and
2. your brother is currently residing in canada

a copy of his PR card will prove that he is a canadian PR but in order to prove that he is currently residing in canada, you have to provide copies of his tax returns, utility bills, bank statements, credit card statements, salary slips etc. also, dont forget to include documents that prove your relationship with your brother. these documents include your birth certificate and your brother's birth certificate. or marriage certificates of yourself and your brother, provided you are married. hope this helps.

Photocopy of PR card will be sufficient and tax return + utility bill + bank statements (more then 6 months old) will be sufficient to prove that he is currently residing in Canada

What made you think me as New Delhi specific Applicant?
Its an International forum, not NEW DELHI specified.
my office is Singapore.
God, How could people be so misleading.
We dont need those things to provide. Sorry to hear the hassles for you.

I am very sorry. I should have asked you about your local visa office.

Firstly, People here are trying to help and are not misleading. Secondly  you should have a courteous attitude instead of a defensive attitude. Everything is not always mentioned in the checklist but there are other things which make a case stronger and that is why people have tried explaining it to you. If you have a problem with that, then hire a consultant, spend money and take professional opinion.

God bless you

I do agree with rocky272727. Dear jnathan, I think you misunderstood rocky272727. He is one of the guy who willingly providing valuable comments to other. Though the singapore visa office not mentioned for other documents mentioned by rocky272727 but it would be better if you can provide more proof of relationship in different ways. PLZ be sure that here everyone is trying to help each other.

Dont get me wrong you Two.
Delhi Office instructions clearly says that you need those things to be provided. Singapore office never wanted them.

I got Photocopies of my Brother's PR card- Confirmation of Permanent Residency- Marriage Certificate which wouldnt be on my hand had I not been properly connected to them. Moreover, an Immigration officer has good knowledge of using the Database to check all those things.

Besides, If tax and bills papers had provided more cusion to the application then they'd include them in Singapore Spec Instructions list. Hope you too understand and dont mislead anyone further.

People over here are better judge to analyse whether they are being mislead or being given information, which can help them. One applicant cannot change that angle. So kindly do not take any of my opinion which I had given you previously anymore and carry on with your own set of available information.

Best of luck on your immigration to Canada.
