I am using the new barcode style form

my wife is an american permanent resident and when we fill that out on the first sheet where it says current county of residence.  it grays out the field where it says date and place of your last entry to canada.  So does that mean we dont have fill out at all? very confusing

By definition and pure logic, only if you indicate Canada as the country of residence in Question 10 does the date and place of entry into Canada become relevant (Question 11). If you reside in a country other that Canada at the time of applying, then your response includes the fact that you are NOT residing in Canada, therefore Question 11 is null.

Notice that you are still required to list in Question 12 any countries you have lived for more than 6 months in the last 5 years.
