I AM SPONSORING MY MOM AND BROTHER TO COME HERE AND IM HAVING A HARD TIME WITH WHAT CIC OFFICE TO PUT IN IMM 0008. CALL CENTRE PEOPLE SAID TO PUT EITHER BUFFALO OR MANILA. I WANT TO PUT IN BUFFALO SO THE PROCESSING IS FASTER BUT THEN MY MOM IS ONLY VISITING AND SHE'S ALLOWED TO STAY TIL 2014. IF I PUT BUFFALO, WHAT IT THEY REQUIRE AN INTERVIEW AND SHE'S ONLY ALLOWED A ONE-TIME ENTRY TO CANADA? ALSO TOO, MY BROTHER IS IN THE PHILIPPINES... I DONT KNOW IM CONFUSED!!!

Choose the visa processing office of the country where your mother is legally residing. If she is in her home country, that is the place.

that's the problem, she's currently here in canada right now as a visitor, they gave her til 2014. so by that time, her sponsorship app should be done. so i dont know what to put, buffalo or philippines. if buffalo and they ask her to go for an interview, how can she go back here if she has a single entry visitor visa? if i put philippines, same thing...plus its  more money to go back. so i dont know im really confused.

CHECK THE PROCESSING TIMES WHEN SPONSORING A PARENT. AND THEN TAKE IT FROM THERE.

Hi,

I should have told this early. For your mother, you cannot apply for sponsorship now. Instead you can get Supervisa with multiple entry for 10 years for her.

According to CIC :

As of November 5, 2011, no new applications to sponsor parents or grandparents will be accepted for processing for up to 24 months. New applications received on or after November 5, 2011, will be returned to the applicant, including fees.

Well, Jinxtine, you are in luck.....read especially the note below from Cic website-

"Single Entry: allows you to enter Canada only once during the validity of the visa.
Note: This visa may also be used for repeated entries into Canada from the USA or St. Pierre and Miquelon provided you do not enter any other country. Such entries must occur within the time validated for your stay in Canada.

So your mom can come back after interviewing in buffalo.
But one relevant info you missed is whether ur mom has a valid US Visa.
Finally, since ur brother is in phillipines, i am pretty sure you can only choose Manila, unless ur brother has a US visa to visit US in case of an interview. If you choose Buffalo, you will be taking a huge risk in case an interview comes and ur brother can't obtain a US Visa.
Manila is the safest choice...........................but if it was only ur mom, Buffalo can be chosen, depending again upon ur mom holding a US visa.
