Hi all, I have a question about the generic form. In the area of "Dependants" they ask to list your spouse or common law partner if applicable. My wife is filling this out, she is an AMerican, and I (as a Canadian) am sponsoring her. Does she need to put me down, even though I am sponsoring her?

Also, what do we do with the barcodes that are printed out? It says place on top of each package? what does that mean?

No, your/her children are refer as dependents. If they are already Canadian citizen, you leave the space blank. You are the spouse or common-law partner. Hope someone will help you with the barcode.

You dont do anything with the barcodes! They are there for the Embassy system to SCAN and get all the information you inputted I think!

hey anyone here about new IMM 0008..coz i want to complete the form on my own coz i cant wait for my husband to send to me(this form is only what i need coz it just changed last month).. so all i know to do is type it and print but im confused about the barcode and it shows there it needs signature on the last page so it means it really needs for my husband to sign it?.. coz someone told me the barcode is the signature already..

I still has to be signed, but only on that last bar code page. You should be able to fill it out, save it and then email to your husband all filled out. |

me and mywife didnt send our application to the cic yet and we did the appliaction in the old forms so we didnt know about thi IMM0008 GENERIC form plus the new form so what shall we do ? make this new forms or just fill out the IMM0008 Generic form

are u living with your wife as there are forms for her to sign if you are then do the new forms, if you are not use the old forms as they are still accepted until March 2012
