There is a reason why this thing happened to you, the best you could do right now is to pray for divine guidance and seek God's wisdom that you be guided to the ways He wills you to be.

Secondly, like what BC Guy said, you can seek Canadian Divorce. That will make your union with ur bf legal.
Then, tell your employers abt your situation, and let us hope for the best outcome. Always think positive. This will be good for the child while she is still with you. Prayer conquers all my dear.

Please do not abort the baby. Do every other thing like letting every one know about your situation etc but do not abort the baby. The baby could be an Obama tomorrow. Besides it is not godly.

Your inbox is full so I could not reply to your PM but I found your thread here.  Be aware that as a relatively new member with not many posts, your inbox is small, will only hold 2-3 messages so you must save them elsewhere and delete or it will get full and nobody can reply to you.

The answers to your questions:

1. I do not know how soon you can file for divorce in Canada if at all. Look for a divorce lawyer, womens center or people from your country to ask that.

2. You need 600 hours to qualify for mat. benefits.  Talk to EI before you decide when to quit to make sure you qualify.  Your employer can not fire you for being pregnant.

3.  In order to file common law, you must first live together for at least 12 months.  It is not a problem that you are not divorced yet.

4. I have no idea how long it takes to get a divorce.

5. You may stay in Canada until your work permit expires, even if you are not working.  However, if you leave, they may not let you back in.
