hi ,
im a live-in caregiver  and been here in canada for 2 1/2 years. i'm am collecting all my documents to apply for PR.
but i need to take a leave of absence because i have to find someone who can watch my son. am i allowed to do that? my employer gave me an ROE.but she said that i'm still under her employment and i will just take a leave of absence.
i haven't got a maternity leave since i was pregnant.
is she still going to pay me. or does she need to pay taxes even though im on leave?
will it affect my application if i pass it to the immigration?
do i still have to put her as my current amployer or put her to a previous employer?
im so confused now.please help me.

thanks

Are you going on maternity leave now?  If you are, you will get EI maternity benefits.  Ask at Service Canada about that.  Your employer will not have to pay anything while you are on leave.
