my wife has applied for a immigration application for me. it's in process. but can i apply for a visit visa while my immigration application is showing IN PROCESS status?

Of course you can apply but that doesn't mean that you will get it.

Yes, you can apply for visitors visa, tell them that X-mas is coming and you really want to spend holidays with your wife, they will understand, just prove some evidence ( flight tickets both ways) that you are not gonna disappear once you get there.

Its very nice of you Smiley But you better let her know beforehand.

Anyhow,for visitors visa you need letter of invitation, provide  info where you tend to stay and so on.
If you know some other people who could you invite to CA, you may ask them and then it really could be a surprise to her if you show up unexpected on 11th of Nov.

BUT...visa issuer might find it very suspicious that you are going to CA,married with a citizen, but somebody else is inviting you.

I think that it is way more easier for her to visit you.

Maybe you both can spend some extra money and time... and meet in some neutral country where neither of you need visitor's visa, celebrate honeymoon!
