 dear member

I am doing my Job since 20 years with same employer. Now a handsom amount on account of gratuity
is payable from my employer. My employer can issue a letter about this payable amount . I can attach this  letter as supporting document for available funds with employer which will be paid by him ,when i quite me job. It will be only additional support alongwith bank statement which will make strong my financial position .

pls advise

please do remember that the CHC would require the liquid money. No things like property papers, estimates on a property,Gold evaluation are entertained. All it matters is how much of money you have at the time of applying and at the time of sending the documents. So your employer document is of no use here. You can send it along with the supporting documents but it would be of no use.

I think it will be 'unencumbered' fund.So you should be ok.
Can you get the cash and put it in bank and then ask for the bank statement.
I am not an expert on this so wait for others to reply.

CIC states "Funds Indicate the amount (in Canadian dollars) of unencumbered, transferable and available funds that you have. This amount can include the value of any property that you own, but should not include jewellery, cars or other personal assets."

So I am assuming your will be categorised as 'available fund'

ARK

"The value of property" is a valid "unencumbered" fund. So your property (house) is a valid source. But not jewelry, cars,TV or Sofa, bed, expensive CIGARs are not considered asset.

Dea ADA,

Can't we show the money (in fixed Deposit in some indian private and public sector banks) in INDIAN RUPEES  as the supporting fund at the time of Full Application? Should it only be in CANADIAN DOLLARS?

please advice. rgds, George

GeorgeJoseph,

I have send notorized FD receipts, PPF account statement, Mutual Fund. bank account stement, bank account till date balance letter.

I was asked by my consultant, and they haev already tried and tested. So i think it works, as long as they are readily available when needed, not the fake ones i mean Smiley.

rgds,
