Hello friends: I would appreciate assistance from you all to know about the ANIP process under new rule where one has to maintain H1B till ANIP gives final nomination.

My question is how long does it take to get a final nomination if you sent your application under the new rule. I sent ANIP application on March 6th. My contract is expiring March end and I am looking for new jobs but I am not getting any interview calls so I am a bit worried. Anyone of you would have any suggestions on how long the final nomination process might take? I am trying to assess the situation in case I will have to move back to my home country in May or June will I be eligible to continue my application under ANIP process. If not then what other options would I have?

your best bet would be to try and find an other employer and have your h1 transferred. according to the new rules, you have to be employed as an h1 "at" the time of nomination, and they are actually asking for another proof "after" sending the initial application.
