IELTS Test Result Mistake....Plz Suggest me (Qorax,PMM,SAKI)

Dear All Seniors....

There is some mistake in my National ID card...There is no family name attached with my name. So it ll take 20 days to modify my full name in National ID card.
I have registeres my self for IELTS for 17 Nov , but IELTS management told me that we could not mention ur family name in the box of family name in the IELTS Test Result Paper.
Even i told them i could show u another documents for my family name..but they never accept. I donot have time to wait for modification becoz CAP is running fast.

my question is that if i submit the IELTS test result certificate with all other documents to CIO without my family name then it ll creat issue before visa officer or not????Means family name box is important or not....

plz suggest me asap

Hi Ali,

Can your Passport not serve as an alternative to National ID? Unfortunately, Family name is IMPORTANT for CIC....it serves as a basic tracker for applicants.

 i have sent to cio dd with title citizenship and immigration canada  whi ch is wrong. i was suppose to write receiver genral for canada..

 the mistake was done by bank officer

now what should i do ....
should i wait for cic reply
it will cause my non acceptance
should i make another dd
or my realtive in canada should fill the fee payment and pay on my behalf with covering letter....
plz guide me my noc is 3131 which is 320 now

Actually I donot have passport right now..I ll apply for fresh passport soon. but it ll take time.
but i ll modify my national id card soon then i ll apply for passport on the behalf of modified national id card.
after all i ll apply for immigration case after getting modified national id card n fresh passport.

Hi Gulshan, this is a difficult position. Family names are important as it helps identify the applicant. Since you are about to give the IELTS exam without your surname being mentioned I would suggest you send CIC a cover letter with you application explaining everything. Mention why the name on your IELTS results is not your complete name and send them copies of your old and renewed National ID cards as proof (without and with the surname, I hope these have your photo on them!). If you have your passport by then, send them copies of this too. All the best!

Is there any way for you to check if your BD was encashed? If not, this could be a difficult situation. Since you do not have your file number as yet sending them any new information may not reach them properly. I would suggest that you prepare a new BD with the correct information and send it to the CIC with a cover letter explaining everything and mentioning the details of your application like your full name, date of birth, country of origin and residence and any other information that could connect you to your application. This is only a suggestion and it has a very small chance of working.

If your relative is in Canada, he could call CIC directly and ask them about your case. He could also ask them if it is possible for him to pay them for you. All the best and I hope everything works out for you.

I was just about to respond

The problem is that NO additional docs would be accepted by CIO. It has to go as a FRESH application to qualify as  a complete package. CIO wil not devote time to find out application from the heap of applications....its like trying to find a needle in a haystack.

If you have another set of documents ready including IELTS and reference letters then send off another package with a cover note referring to the earlier package.

  @  Wendy- CIC will not give out information to relative unless he is an authorised representative of the applicant.

my relative already have called to that office,but they said with out having a file number,it can confuse the officer and it may creat another problem,,,he said that he will pay by from there ,,just waiting for my decision,, now what you suggest,  i want ask that if my dd is wrong they will return my application or will ask for another correct dd,  if they will return my application than i should take decision of using my relative credit card, other wise i waill wait for asking new dd which can be provided...plz reply

Hi, now that I think of it, Mitali is right. They will not give your information out to your relative if they are not authorised to be your representative.

You can try to call them directly and speak to them. They have a number for applicants within Canada but I had tried it once and the lady who answered (while surprised to hear I was calling internationally) was very helpful. The number is +16139444000, then dial 1-2-1-2-0. If they ask for the Client ID just keep hanging on till you get connected to a real person. This is something you can try, no guarantees though!!!

Hmmm, check your Bank if your Draft was cashed or not. IF not then it "MIGHT" be already too late.
Prepare for new docs, application etc. JUST IN CASE it come back, so you should be ready in a day or two.

Also call or email CIO, they will be in a position to inform you about status. As its been more than 8 weeks.
