I am reading in posts & IELTS score seems crucial for people applying outside Canada.
Does anyone have any idea what is good score in IELTS to have 16 points for language.

Any guess what score in IETLS can lead to 16 points for language....

Regards.

You should read the guide thoroughly. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdf

Canada.Dream, you should take between 6.5 and 9.0 in all tests except listening where you need between 7.5 and 9.0 to get all 16 points.

Hope this helps.

Thank you.

Thanks meena for reply.

Can you please confirm is 7200 is for all tests (read, write, speak, listen) ?
If yes, in that case I will assume $185 for all test in USA.

Thanks.

Yes, $185 is for all 4 tests. You have to take all 4 tests. There is no option for you in that regard.

You will get 6 points for language.  So you need 67 points to qualify in total.  You can do the calculation here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/tool/index.asp  and here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp

Hi PMM,

I have calculated and according to it, It shows as:

1 Education 25 - 25
2 Language Ability 24-  8
3 Work Experience 21 - 21
4 Age 10 - 10
5 Arranged Employment 10 - 0
6 Adaptability 10 - 5
Total Score 100 - 69

Here I was confused for Language and I selected as Moderate for Englsih and '0' for French. Please tell if my calculation is correct.
